I purchased a 49” LG 4K Magnolia series TV and the picture is absolutely beautiful! I love it!

On paper the Nano85 is a gamers dream come true…
Native 120hz panel, Check!
G-sync/Freesync support, Check!
HDMI 2.1 full bandwidth (HDMI 3&4), Check!
Very low input lag and ALLM, Check!
I was buying this to ready myself for the next generation of consoles and GPU’s for PC and thought I had found my dream display… until I hadn’t.
The 49Nano85UNA uses a 49” ADS-IPS which offers improved contrast compared to standard IPS panels.
IPS (in plane switching) offer superior color reproduction, viewing angles and motion compare to it’s VA panel based competition, but contrast is not its strong suit.
VA based panel range from the 2000:1-8000:1 native contrast whereas the standard IPS which usually hits between 700:1-1000:1.
The Nano85’s ADS-IPS is around 1600:1 which is a pretty good…

I have this paired with an Nvidia Shield PRO. Screen Quality is crisp when paired with 4K content. Keep in mind this is not an OLED so it’s array lighting can be noticeable with all black images like a stary sky. It’s not distracting though. I would look up array lighting though before purchasing to see if this is something you’re okay with. Other than that sound is impressive compared to Samsung TV’s and has a good input response for video games. There’s loads of visual features and sound features to accommodate various tastes. Viewing angles are also impressive. It’s has Android TV and works well but like all TV’s it’s better to buy an external streaming stick that brings out the best qualities of a 4K television
